DROP-IN SENSORY PLAY PROGRAM
Sensational Minds After-School Club: Where Play, Literacy, and Special Interests Meet
What the Program Is
The Drop In Sensory Friendly Play Program is a small group or 1:1 play based experience for children ages 5–11. Sessions are designed to give children time and space to engage in play in a calm, predictable, and sensory considerate environment.
This program is not tutoring and does not include academic instruction. There are no lessons, benchmarks, or expectations for skill performance. Play is the central activity. Children choose how they engage, what they explore, and how they move through the space.
Each session is led by Tyana and intentionally structured to support comfort, safety, and meaningful engagement through play.
Why This Program Is Beneficial
For many children, especially those who experience sensory differences, social stress, or difficulty in group settings, play in typical environments can feel overwhelming or inaccessible.
This program offers a setting where children can:
Engage in play without pressure to perform or keep pace
Practice being in a shared space with peers in a low demand way
Explore sensory materials and movement safely
Build comfort with transitions and routines
Experience social presence and connection on their own terms
The benefit is not about learning a specific skill. It is about supporting children in feeling regulated, capable, and comfortable participating in a shared play environment.
Who This Program Is For
This program is designed for children ages 5–9 who:
Benefit from sensory friendly spaces
Prefer small groups and predictable routines
Enjoy play but may find traditional group settings challenging
Communicate in a variety of ways
Need a low pressure environment to connect with others

Sensational Inclusion and Ms. Tyana are beyond exceptional, a perfect 15/10! My daughter, who is on the spectrum, was struggling with reading comprehension and fluency, and needed an approach tailored to her unique learning style. Ms. Tyana has been phenomenal, using scaffolding techniques that build her skills without overwhelming her. Worth every penny!

My son once dreaded reading, but now he looks forward to his sessions at Sensational Inclusion and cherishes his reading time. His progress has been remarkable, catching up to his peers and developing a genuine love for books. Sensational Inclusion transformed reading from a chore into a gateway to worlds of imagination and knowledge.

Sensational Inclusion transformed my daughter's attitude towards reading by infusing joy and playfulness into learning. Initially hesitant, she now eagerly attends every session. Previously labeled as not a "reader" by her school, their nurturing approach helped her become a confident, grade-level reader who always has a book in hand and applies the strategies they taught her effectively.
